Lateral pelvic tilts can be very frustrating to fix. The reason is that most therapists still think that pelvic tilts are simply muscular issues that can be resolved through stretching or manipulation.
This is rarely the case.
Lateral pelvic tilts reflect a neuromuscular pattern of the right stance phase of gait and an underlying pelvic asymmetry where the left side of the pelvis is rotated forward compared to the right side.
But because they are neuromuscular, this means that the issue is not primarily muscular, it's an issue of how your brain is integrating sensory input to organize muscular output.
Thankfully we do have techniques that help to break the neuromuscular pattern you are stuck in and establish a new pattern.
