In 2010 12 people were killed in just a 24 hour period in New Jersey. Since then, Councilman Ras Baraka, has put together a “24 Hours of Peace, Occupy Clinton Avenue” to stop violence in Jersey and promote peace.

24 Hours of Peace, LLC is an outdoor cultural event aimed at addressing violence through the performing arts. “We’re striving to promote peace and community togetherness. We need to do it in a dramatic force to dramatize how serious this issue is for us.” said, Councilman Ras Baraka in August 2011, days leading up to the First Annual 24 Hours of Peace Rally. Music, Poetry, Dance, Film and Spoken word will be the vehicle to promote the message of peace and unity in the community.

We decided to shoot the Culture Freedom video while on the Rapture tour because we wanted to capture the energy of just being in the moment and grinding. I wasn't tripping off of a deep concept, its more about the way we live than trying to present some glamorized version of ourselves. Most of the footage was taken during the last leg while we were traveling thru Colorado and Wyoming. Plus, we're from the Bay Area, so being in snow just adds an exotic element in our minds.
